Story of Us

Amy grew up in Peoria in the heart of Central Illinois. Chris grew up in Fairport, a village in the suburbs of Rochester, in western New York. The two met while attending the University of Illinois at Champaign - Urbana, through their volunteer work in Alpha Phi Omega. Amy majored in Mechanical Engineering with an International Minor in French Studies, while Chris' major was Chemical Engineering. They both graduated in December of 1996.

Amy now works as a Product Engineer, in the Fiber Optics group, at Panduit Corporation. Chris is a Computer Consultant, in the Knowledge Management group, at The Revere Group. In their spare time Amy enjoys Jazzercise and Society of Woman Engineers and Chris obsesses over the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bulls. Together they enjoy playing Volleyball and Bridge.

Honeymoon Info

We will be enjoying a lovely stay in Honolulu, Kaui, and Maui. If you've been to any of these places and would like to suggest something to do on the trip - like a restaurant or tour - please let us know.

Chris' cousin Stephanie recently provided the following suggestions:
I wanted to give you a few suggestions as you make your way to Kaui as Kent and I spent our whole honeymoon there. A definate place to dine is Pacific Cafe, it is elegant and the food is superb. If the two of you happen to be up for a hike, there is a nice trail up the Napali Coast (the north end of the island and about a mile up or so, you can see the sunset and parts of the island that are just beautiful). We also took a kayaking ride up the river (on the east side of the island) to see the waterfalls, you kayak for about a mile and hike to the falls (easy hike) and it is just amazing what you see.... Also, you can catch a boat ride to the Fern Grotto, where hawaiians used to get married, and the tour guide will marry you hawaiian style!! Last but not least, the two of you have to go to a Luou (again my spelling is off), but of course you can do that at any of the islands you visit.
Chris' coworker Valerie has the following suggestions:
Haleakula Bike Company
Extended Horizons
Tom Barefoot's - booking activities on Front Street in Lahaina
Cheeseburger in Paradase in Lahaina
Mama's Fish House on Maui
Hali Mali on Maui
Roy's of ? on Maui
The Waterfront in Maalea Bay on Maui

Amy also had a coworker with suggestions:
Longey's on Maui
Cheeseburger in Paradise on Maui

Amy and Chris found these two links on their own:
Bridge Clubs in Hawaii
Volleyball in Maui
